How to get to Weh Island

To get to Weh Island, you can take a flight to the Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Banda Aceh, the capital city of Aceh province. From the airport, you can take a taxi or a Grab car to the Ulee Lheue Ferry Terminal, which is about a 30-minute drive away.

From the ferry terminal, you can take a ferry to Balohan Port on Weh Island. The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes to an hour, and there are several ferry operators that run between the two ports. The ferry schedule can vary, so it's best to check with the operator beforehand.

Alternatively, you can take a speedboat from Banda Aceh to Weh Island. The speedboat takes about 45 minutes and is a faster but more expensive option compared to the ferry.

Once you arrive at Balohan Port on Weh Island, you can take a taxi or a motorcycle taxi (known as ojek) to your accommodation or desired destination on the island.
